Training Courses

First Aid
Medical course is intended for staff members who have responsibility for first aid within the organization.
The course will also provide the essential foundation for First-Aider to meet their increased responsibilities at any level stipulated by the organization within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
Courses Available: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3

Fire Marshal Combined Course
This course is intended for staff members who have responsibility for fire safety within the organization.
The course will also provide the essential foundation for fire marshals to meet their increased responsibilities within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
Includes: Fire Marshal, Hazmat Response and Advanced Breathing Apparatus

Breathing Apparatus
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to safely use a Breathing Apparatus to escape a situation that poses a threat to life by means of gasses.
After completion of this course the candidate will be able to safely and efficiently use a Breathing Apparatus to escape a potentially harmful gas.
Available: Basic Breathing Apparatus and Advanced Breathing Apparatus

Hazmat Response
Hazardous materials emergency response work is extremely dangerous. Many respondents have
died or sustained serious injury and illness while attempting to mitigate an incident.

Confined Space Rescue
The instructors that will be presenting this program are considered specialists in the field. The legislative and theory components are based on both South African Legislation and N.F.P.A. Standards.
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to assess, enter and rescue patients from a confined space.

Structural Collapse Rescue
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to assess, enter and rescue patients from a collapsed structure.
After being assessed as competent the candidate will be able to operate as an integral part of a team that undertakes rescue operations in collapsed structures.
Candidates will be assessed at technician level and will be required to demonstrate shoring systems, tool operations and a sound theoretical knowledge.
Candidates will also be familiar with team deployment on a regional, national and international basis

High Angle Rescue
Candidates will also be familiar with team deployment on a regional, national and international basis
The instructors that will be presenting this program are considered specialists in the field.
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to operate in a high angle rescue environment. This includes patient access and single person rope rescues as well as technician level
Available in: High Angle One and High Angle Two

Motor Vehicle Rescue
The instructors that will be presenting this program are considered specialists in the field. The motor vehicle instructors have all either judged or participated in both National and International Competitions as well as having considerable road experience.
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to extricate and/or rescue a person involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Trench Rescue
This course is designed for any persons who in the course of their normal duties would be required to assess, enter and rescue patients from a trench.

Fire Safety
This course is intended for staff members who have responsibility for fire safety within the organization.
The course will also provide the essential foundation for fire marshal s to meet their increased responsibilities within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
